Skip the Lab: Introducing Mito At-Home Test Kits
Seven new at-home kits let you collect a blood sample from your own arm — no needle, no finger stick, no appointment — and get clinician-reviewed results in the same Mito dashboard.
Getting your bloodwork done has always meant the same thing: book an appointment, drive to a collection site, roll up your sleeve for a phlebotomist, and hope the parking wasn’t terrible. For a lot of people, that friction is the reason a “I should really get my levels checked” thought never turns into an actual result.
We wanted to remove that friction. Today we’re launching seven at-home test kits you can order online, collect from your own kitchen table, and mail back — with the same lab analysis, clinician review, and dashboard you’d get from a full Mito panel.
No needle, no finger stick
The kits use the Tasso+ collector, a small single-use device that sits on your upper arm. You press it into place, a tiny puncture and a gentle vacuum draw a capillary blood sample, and you’re done in a few minutes. There’s no venipuncture, no vial, and no repeated finger-pricking — just one painless collector and a sample container.
Every kit ships with everything you need:
- The single-use Tasso+ collector
- Collection materials and a sample tube
- Step-by-step instructions
- Prepaid return packaging (both directions)
Once you’ve collected your sample, you drop it in the prepaid mailer and send it back to the lab. Your results post straight to your Mito dashboard as soon as the lab finishes, reviewed by a clinician — the same experience as our in-lab panels, minus the trip.
Now available at Mito: 7 Curated At-Home Test Kits
Each kit is built around a specific question — heart risk, hormones, weight, longevity — so you can test exactly what you care about. All kits are HSA/FSA eligible, and Mito members pay our at-cost lab price (membership is $9/month and optional).

Not sure which one fits? The Longevity kit is the broadest starting point, covering lipids, inflammation, vitamin D, and a full sex-hormone picture in a single collection. If you’re tracking a specific concern — cardiovascular risk, thyroid and hormone balance, or testosterone on TRT — the targeted kits go deeper on exactly that.
The Longevity kit — our broadest at-home panel, spanning lipids, inflammation, vitamin D, and sex hormones.
How the process works, start to finish
- Order online. Pick your kit and check out. Members see at-cost pricing automatically.
- Kit ships to you. Expect it in about 2–5 business days via USPS. You can track it from your dashboard.
- Collect your sample. Follow the instructions, use the Tasso+ collector on your upper arm, and fill in the collection form. Take a minute to double-check your name and date of birth match your order — the lab needs those to line up.
- Mail it back. Drop the prepaid return package in the mail. Samples travel back to the lab overnight and stay stable for several days in transit, so a normal mail turnaround is well within range.
- Get clinician-reviewed results. Your numbers post to your Mito dashboard once the lab completes testing, with plain-language context and next steps.
Frequently Asked Questions
How soon should I collect after the kit arrives? Collect and mail it back promptly. The sample is designed to stay stable in transit, and the prepaid return shipping is expedited so it reaches the lab quickly.
Where do I find tracking? Both the outbound and return shipments are visible in your dashboard.
What if my kit arrives damaged? Don’t use it — reach out to support and we’ll get a replacement sent.
Can I cancel after ordering? There’s a short window to change or cancel before a kit is fulfilled. Once it ships, it’s on its way to you.
Why does my info need to match exactly? The lab matches your sample to your order using the details on your collection form. Small things like a nickname or a typo are usually fine, but if your information can’t be confidently matched, the lab may not be able to run the sample — so accurate details protect your result.
One important note
At-home collection is available only for these seven kits. Every other Mito lab and panel — including our Essential, Core, and Ultra panels and any à la carte markers — still uses a standard blood draw at a collection site near you. Scans like DEXA and MRI are booked at imaging centers as usual.
The at-home kits aren’t a replacement for comprehensive testing; they’re a lower-friction way to check the things that benefit from regular tracking, or to get started before you commit to a full panel.
