Why people order the LucenceINSIGHT Core

  • An additional screening layer

This may complement guideline screening, especially for covered cancers without routine population screening, but it does not replace established tests.

Who may consider the LucenceINSIGHT Core

  • Personal or family history

History involving covered cancers may support a conversation about an added blood-based screening layer, but the test cannot diagnose cancer.

  • Clinician-guided screening decision

A clinician can help assess fit, exclusions, and the right response to either a detected signal or no signal detected.

Is this appropriate if I have symptoms, a current cancer diagnosis, or need treatment monitoring?

No. Use a clinician-directed diagnostic or monitoring pathway. LucenceINSIGHT is a screening aid for people without a current cancer diagnosis.

Can this replace mammography, colonoscopy, low-dose CT, cervical screening, or other guideline screening?

No. Continue every guideline-recommended screening test that applies to you. LucenceINSIGHT adds a blood-based layer and does not replace imaging, endoscopy, cytology, or biopsy.

Should I use this for inherited cancer risk?

No. The test looks for acquired molecular signals in cell-free DNA, not germline variants. Choose clinician-guided hereditary cancer testing for inherited-risk questions.

Does Core cover the cancers I am concerned about?

Core covers lung, colorectal, liver, pancreatic, thyroid, and breast cancers. Choose another pathway if your main concern falls outside those six.

Where is this test available?

This test is not available in Pennsylvania, New York, or Rhode Island.

How should I prepare for the blood draw?

Fasting is not required. Avoid a heavy meal before your draw. Have your blood drawn in the comfort of your home at no additional cost. Tell your care team about recent surgery, blood transfusion, or bone marrow transplant, or pregnancy so they can confirm timing and eligibility.

What the LucenceINSIGHT Core measures

LucenceINSIGHT Core is a blood-based liquid-biopsy screening aid for molecular signals associated with lung, colorectal, liver, pancreatic, thyroid, and breast cancers. It analyzes cell-free DNA for acquired changes and may predict a likely tissue of origin when a signal is found.

The current US offering does not include ctRNA boost or gene-fusion reporting. ctRNA arrives with the INSIGHT 50 upgrade. Core does not diagnose cancer, assess inherited risk, or replace guideline screening or evaluation of symptoms.

How to understand your LucenceINSIGHT Core result

Interpret either result with the covered cancer scope, personal risk, symptoms, and guideline screening. The current US offering does not include ctRNA boost or gene-fusion reporting. ctRNA arrives with the INSIGHT 50 upgrade.

No signal detected

The assay did not identify a reportable molecular signal in the covered scope. This is reassuring but does not rule out cancer. Detection varies by cancer type and stage, so routine screening and symptom evaluation remain necessary.

Signal detected

The assay identified a molecular pattern associated with cancer and may suggest a likely tissue of origin. This is not a diagnosis. Follow-up may include clinical assessment, imaging, endoscopy, or biopsy to confirm and locate a cause.

Every result comes with a plan

A number on its own does not tell you much. Membership is what turns it into next steps, and keeps track of what changes.

  • Insights that connect the dots. A clinician reads your whole picture, not one result in isolation, connecting family history, past results, and lifestyle into clear next steps.

  • Your personalized action plan. Nutrition, supplements, and training in one clinician-reviewed protocol, updated as your results change.

  • Track your trends. Upload results from any lab and see each biomarker trend over time, so you know what is working.

  • Never miss a recheck. Mito tells you what is worth retesting and when, then reminds you so nothing slips.

Common LucenceINSIGHT Core questions

What does LucenceINSIGHT measure?
It analyzes cell-free DNA in blood for acquired molecular signals associated with cancer. It does not report inherited germline risk.
What does no signal detected mean?
No reportable signal was found in the covered scope. This does not rule out cancer, particularly when a cancer sheds little DNA or is at an early stage.
What does signal detected mean?
A cancer-associated molecular signal was found and the report may suggest a likely tissue of origin. Diagnostic follow-up is needed because the result does not confirm cancer.
Does this test replace guideline screening?
No. Continue mammography, colonoscopy, low-dose CT, cervical screening, and other recommended care when applicable.
Does it include ctRNA boost or gene-fusion reporting?
No. The current US offering does not include ctRNA boost or gene-fusion reporting. ctRNA arrives with the INSIGHT 50 upgrade.
Does HPV detection mean this screens for cervical cancer?
No. In Lucence's molecular scope, HPV detection is associated with oropharyngeal cancer screening, not cervical cancer screening. Cervical screening still follows established guidelines.
Can a blood test find every cancer at every stage?
No. Detection varies by cancer biology, stage, and how much tumor-derived material enters the bloodstream.
What happens after a detected signal?
A clinician should coordinate standard diagnostic evaluation, which may include imaging, examination, endoscopy, or biopsy.
Is this an inherited cancer-risk test?
No. It examines acquired signals in circulating cell-free DNA rather than inherited variants.
