What this test is for
This test measures retinol (vitamin A) and both the alpha- and gamma-tocopherol forms of vitamin E in serum, the two fat-soluble vitamins most worth checking together. Vitamin A supports vision, immune function, and skin and epithelial health; low levels show up in fat-malabsorption conditions like celiac disease, Crohn's, cystic fibrosis, and pancreatic insufficiency, while excess (often from high-dose supplements or retinoid medications) can cause headaches, dry skin, liver strain, and bone effects. Vitamin E is the body's main lipid-soluble antioxidant; deficiency is uncommon but can cause neurological symptoms such as numbness, weakness, and coordination problems, and it too tracks with fat malabsorption.

Where do I get tested?
Choose an available partner lab at checkout. If your cart contains multiple blood tests, Mito helps consolidate the eligible tests at one lab when possible. At-home kits and scans follow the collection or appointment process shown on their product page.
Is this eligible for HSA/FSA?

When will I get my results?
