Pre-test considerations
No fasting is required. The sample must be collected in a yellow-top ACD tube and filled completely, since underfilled, clotted, or hemolyzed specimens are rejected. If you take glutathione precursors such as NAC or glutathione directly, note the dose and timing, since they can raise the result.

This test measures total glutathione in red blood cells, capturing the reduced form (GSH), the oxidized dimer (GSSG), and protein-bound glutathione together. Low levels reflect depleted antioxidant capacity and have been associated with Parkinson's disease, HIV, liver disease, renal failure, and preeclampsia. Where do I get tested?
Choose an available partner lab at checkout. If your cart contains multiple blood tests, Mito helps consolidate the eligible tests at one lab when possible. At-home kits and scans follow the collection or appointment process shown on their product page.
Is this eligible for HSA/FSA?

When will I get my results?
