What this test is for
SS-A (anti-Ro) is an autoantibody directed against an extractable nuclear antigen, and it is one of the most useful markers for diagnosing Sjögren's syndrome, the autoimmune condition that attacks moisture-producing glands. A positive result is commonly investigated alongside dry eyes, dry mouth, fatigue, joint pain, and swollen salivary glands, and it carries weight in formal Sjögren's diagnostic criteria. SS-A also appears in lupus and other connective-tissue diseases, so it is interpreted with your symptoms and other antibody results rather than read in isolation. When both SS-A and SS-B (anti-La) are present, the case for Sjögren's is stronger and adds prognostic information. SS-A is also relevant in pregnancy planning, because the antibody can cross the placenta and affect the developing heart.

It is never a profit on the test itself. Mito makes its money on the $9 membership, not on marking up your tests. Membership is $9 per month, and any applicable lab order or draw fee is itemized before you pay.
Where do I get tested?
Choose an available partner lab at checkout. If your cart contains multiple blood tests, Mito helps consolidate the eligible tests at one lab when possible. At-home kits and scans follow the collection or appointment process shown on their product page.
Is this eligible for HSA/FSA?

When will I get my results?
