What this test is for
Anti-CCP antibodies target citrullinated proteins and are one of the most specific blood markers for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). This version measures both the IgG and IgA classes; roughly 70% of people with RA test positive while only about 2% of healthy controls do, which makes a positive result far more meaningful than a positive rheumatoid factor. It is most useful when joint pain, morning stiffness lasting over an hour, swelling, or symmetric involvement of the hands and feet raises the question of RA, and it often turns positive years before joints are visibly damaged. A positive result supports the diagnosis but is read alongside symptoms, exam findings, and other labs such as rheumatoid factor and inflammatory markers; the separate IgG-only anti-CCP test covers the same diagnostic role when only that class is measured.

Where do I get tested?
Choose an available partner lab at checkout. If your cart contains multiple blood tests, Mito helps consolidate the eligible tests at one lab when possible. At-home kits and scans follow the collection or appointment process shown on their product page.
