Candida albicans Antibodies (IgG, IgA, IgM)
Your immune response to Candida yeast across three antibody classes, used to evaluate suspected invasive or systemic infection.
Consider this test if:
- Investigating a suspected deep-seated or systemic Candida infection, especially with a weakened immune system
- Tracking the immune response over time with paired acute and convalescent samples
- Persistent or recurrent symptoms where invasive candidiasis is on the differential
- Building a baseline antibody profile before or during treatment
- HSA/FSA eligible
- Results delivered to your dashboard · Reviewed by a real clinician
- Drawn at a CLIA/CAP-accredited lab near you ·
Pre-test considerations
No fasting required. A single result reflects exposure, so a second sample drawn a few weeks later is often needed to compare acute and convalescent titers. Recent or active infection and prior exposure both raise antibodies, so results are interpreted against your clinical picture.

What this test is for
Candida albicans is a yeast that normally lives harmlessly on skin and mucous membranes but can cause infection ranging from localized thrush to serious bloodstream and systemic disease, particularly when immunity is compromised. This test measures three antibody classes against Candida: IgM, which tends to rise early in a recent or active immune response; IgG, which reflects past or ongoing exposure and immune memory; and IgA, which is tied to mucosal surfaces. Comparing acute and convalescent titers (a second sample weeks later) is what makes the result meaningful, since a single value reflects exposure rather than confirming active infection.
The separate IgG-only test captures just the memory marker; this three-class panel adds IgM and IgA to help distinguish a recent or active response from longstanding exposure. Antibody testing is most useful for systemic disease questions, not for diagnosing routine thrush or vaginal yeast infections, which are confirmed directly by culture or swab.

Frequently asked questions
View all FAQsHow does pricing work?
Every test shows the member price next to the standard non-member price, so you can see what membership saves you. The member price is our cost — covering the lab and what it takes to run the service — never a profit on the test itself; Mito makes its money on the $9 membership, not on marking up your tests. Membership is $9/mo, and you still pay the lab’s order fee. Prices are itemized before you pay, with no hidden fees.
Where do I get tested?
Choose a partner lab (Quest, Labcorp, or BioReference) at checkout. If your cart spans multiple tests, we consolidate the whole order onto a single lab so you only make one visit.
Is this eligible for HSA/FSA?
Yes. This test is HSA/FSA eligible, and you can pay with your HSA/FSA card at checkout.
When will I get my results?
Your results post to your dashboard once your lab completes them, then a clinician reviews them and your full analysis and personalized action plan (with clear next steps) follow. Turnaround varies by test: specialty assays and at-home kits take longer, and each test shows its expected turnaround before you buy.
Do I need a doctor’s order?
No. Mito provides the lab order for you, so you can book and get tested without a separate doctor visit.
